Frequently Asked Questions
Are these original perfumes, or copies?
They are our own. Every Aadab fragrance is blended and bottled under our own name, in our own bottles. We are not selling repackaged designer perfume, and we are not pretending to be another brand.
What we do is work in the fragrance families people already love — the same accords, the same moods — at a price that makes sense in Pakistan. If one of ours reminds you of something you have smelled before, that is the family it belongs to.
Are they alcohol-free? Are they halal?
No. Our fragrances contain alcohol (ethanol), so they are not alcohol-free and they are not halal-certified. We would rather tell you plainly here than have you find out after your order arrives.
How long does it last on the skin?
All thirteen are extrait de parfum — the most concentrated form of fragrance, and considerably longer-lasting than an eau de toilette or eau de parfum.
Beyond that, longevity is personal. Fragrance lasts longer on moisturised skin than on dry skin, and longer on clothing than on skin. Karachi humidity makes most scents project harder and fade faster than the same bottle would in Islamabad in winter. Spray on pulse points, and do not rub your wrists together — it crushes the top notes.
What is the difference between Signature and Reserve?
Signature is our nine-bottle core line, in clear glass with a flat gold cap — built for everyday wear.
Reserve is a deeper set of four, in heavier amber glass with a domed cap — richer, and better suited to evenings and colder weather.
Both are 50ml extrait de parfum, and the two lines overlap in price. Reserve is not simply the expensive tier, so choose by character rather than by line.
Why are they named after poets, writers and singers?
Aadab began as an apparel brand, and even then the idea was to put the spotlight on artists whose work had spread the way a fragrance spreads — quietly, everywhere, and long after the person has left the room. When we moved into perfume, that idea came with us.
Faiz, Ghalib, Parveen, Nusrat. These are names most of us grew up hearing quoted at dinner tables and played at weddings. We wanted a perfume you could introduce by name and have the other person already know something about it. That is what Fragrance that Speaks your Language means.
How do I choose if I cannot smell it first?
Start with our How to Choose Your Scent guide — it walks you through fragrance families, day versus evening, and what to expect from each line. Or simply message us on WhatsApp and name a perfume you already wear and like. We will point you at the closest one of ours.
Do you sell testers or sample sizes?
Not yet. A discovery set of small vials is something we are working on, because we know that not being able to smell a fragrance first is the one real drawback of buying perfume online. Message us on WhatsApp if you would like to be told when it is ready.
Do you deliver outside Karachi?
Yes — we deliver across Pakistan.
- Karachi — Rs 300, within 24 business hours.
- Rest of Pakistan — Rs 300, 4 to 5 working days, by Leopards Courier.
- Orders over Rs 5,000 — delivery is free.
We are not shipping internationally at this time. Perfume contains alcohol, which couriers class as a flammable liquid and restrict from air freight, so every order travels by road.
Can I pay cash on delivery?
Yes. Cash on delivery is available across Pakistan, with no advance payment and no extra charge — and it is currently the only payment method we offer. Pay the rider in cash when your order arrives, and please keep the exact amount ready where you can.
How do I track my order?
We send a tracking number by WhatsApp as soon as your order is dispatched. If a working day has passed and nothing has arrived, message us with your order number and we will check.
Can I return or exchange a bottle?
You have 7 days from delivery. We accept bottles that have been opened and tried — fragrance behaves differently on different skin and we understand that — provided at least half the bottle remains. We do not offer exchanges for a different scent; return the bottle under the usual terms and place a new order instead. Full details, including who pays what, are in Returns & Refunds.
I have sensitive skin. Is it safe for me?
Our fragrances contain alcohol and are for external use on skin only. If you have sensitive skin or known fragrance allergies, spray a small test area first and leave it a few hours before wearing it properly. Avoid broken or irritated skin, keep it away from your eyes, and stop using it if irritation appears. Keep out of reach of children.
If you would like to know more about a particular fragrance before you buy, message us on WhatsApp and ask.
How should I store my perfume?
Away from direct sunlight and heat, with the cap on, ideally in its box. A bathroom shelf is the worst place for perfume — heat and steam break it down faster than anything else. A bedroom drawer is ideal. Stored properly, a bottle keeps for years.
